Fox Smear Artist Harris Faulkner Called Out by Sports Commentator David Zirin
Editor’s Note: The false narrative and making of false claims about individuals, organizations, classes of people, those holding opinions that are disagreeable to Trump – all of it – creates a hostile and dangerous environment. It indeed is possible that should violence and harm arise from the false, smearing, defamatory, libelous statements by commentators like Faulkner, politicians like Trump and his parroting followers, it could lead to legal liability if those harms and acts of violence are litigated. It is up to all of us to condemn and denounce fascist mouthpieces like Faulkner who lie and smear without evidence.
The following is from a March 12 Facebook posting by Sports Commentator David Zirin:
OK so Harris Faulkner is a Trumpist hack who has shamed herself time and again, but this one really takes the cake. I will be writing about it for next week in The Nation Magazine and just emailed her the following for her response:
Hello Ms. Faulkner. I’m writing an article for The Nation about today’s protests in Trump Tower. [actually the article will be more about the GOP trend of deciding who is and isn’t Jewish based upon our politics – DZ]. The protest from all evidence and reporting was made up primarily of American Jews, yet you said on Fox, “This is what happens when you have open borders.” May I ask what evidence backs that claim? Or would you want to issue a retraction? You also said that protestors “hate Jewish Americans.” Again, given that the overwhelming bulk of protestors were Jewish and the event was organized by Jewish American organizations, do you regret those comments? Or would you like to clarify your comments? Please let me know as soon as you can. On deadline.
