Democrats Split on 9495, Enabling Trump-ian Fascism: The Usual Fraud
Democrats are fraudulent during elections when they call for unity against their Republican opponents and the right wing agenda – such as Project 2025. Both parties lie – to be clear. But about the issue of unity – the Republicans are more honest. The Republican voting block in US Senate and US Congress is an actual block – Republicans stick together. Democrat unity is a fraudulent construct and there is NO TRUE DEMOCRATIC VOTING BLOCK in the US Congress and US Senate. It does not change much whether it is Democrats or Republicans in majority – the Republicans block up (vote as a unit) and the Democrats split with enough of a faction jumping over to vote for the “republican” position to let the Republican measures pass. That is likely what will happen with “Project 2025” initiatives and it is what is happening with HR 9495.
To be clear, the Democratic Party as a unit, as an organization, as a political party is HOPELESSLY PRO-ISRAEL. There are a handful – you can likely count them on your fingers in US Congress that will voice criticism of Israel and vote against pro-Israel measures, some routinely and others sporadically. Some will have occasional tantrums condemning an atrocity or outrage here and there – but generally Democrats in US Congress and US Senate overhwelmingly vote to arm Israel and to repress protected free speech of opponents of US-Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people as well as US-Israel escalation toward total Middle East War.
That said, there are measures that are particualy Republican initiated that receive support from the even more gung ho Democatic Party pro-Israel members of US Congress and Senate. Both parties approve of the false conflation narrative that Israel and Judaism are the same thing. The idea is that you can not criticize or even have negative thoughts about Israel – no matter the length of the depravity of the genocdidal Israeli regime. It is being legislated in numerous ways with initiatives of both parties overhwlmingly working to implement pro-Israel fascism in the US. Having bad thoughts and saying bad things about Israel will subject us to legal sanction and police and military action.
Hovever, this particular overstep of our protected speech rights, our right to free press and our right to assemble and air grievances – all supposedly rights that are germane to the US under the US Constituion is a Republican initiative. Most of the Democraitc Party in the House of Representatives voted against it on November 13. However 52 House Dems voted for it. The measure did not carry because the process for the November 13 vote was an expedited process requiring a 2/3 majority YAY to pass. However on Monday, November 18 it will be a simple majority needed to pass the measure. So if the Democrats behave in the way they did on November 13 and per usual, there will be enough Democrats in the house to approve this Trump enabling measure.
It is necessary to discuss this matter. We were told by supporters of Harris for president that we needed to unite with them to oppose Trump fascism. The Democrats were soundly defeated by Trump and the Republicans on election day and even before congress and the presidency transitions THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS MAKING SURE THAT THIS FASCIST PRO-ISRAEL MEASURE IS SUCCESSFUL. THEY ARE ENABLING TRUMP TO ELIMINATE PROTECTED RIGHTS OF ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS AND TO PROVIDE PRETEXT FOR POLICE AND MILITARY ASSAULTS AGAINST STUDENTS ON THE COLLEGE CAMPUSES!
Many voted for Democrats and these 52 Democrats including NJ’s own Pallone, Norcross and Gottenheimer are making sure that your Democrat vote translates to votes to enable Trumpian fascism. The fix is in and it is not new but now we have an opportunity – we in the pro-Palestine and anti-genocide effort to learn a true lesson on the true nature of the Democratic Party. It is loyal opposition at best and that is most certainly the case on any issue where Israel has an interest in the outcome.

However lets make the most of the reality and learn the lessons – the Democratic Party is not a viable alternative for opposing genocide – you can only support Israel through the Democratic Party. We must understand this and make sure that we no longer support Israel and genocide and the way to move in that direction is to permanantly abandon the Democratic Party.
