Who Is Naftali Bennett? April 7 Protest in Princeton
As we previously reported, students plan to protest Naftali Bennett when he speaks at Princeton University next Monday. But who is Bennett, and why is this publication endorsing the protest against this former Israeli prime minister? Simply put, he has a long history of opposing peace and engaging in terrorist activities. Can we prove it? Yes.
Bennett’s Role in War Crimes
Bennett began his career as an officer in the Israeli army, where his actions allegedly contributed to the 1996 Qana Massacre, which killed 106 Lebanese civilians who were sheltering in a UN peacekeeping facility.
After leaving the military, he entered politics, first serving as director of the Yesha Council (2010-2012), the governing body for illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, which are all Jewish terrorist outposts. In 2010, he also founded the right-wing group My Israel, which trained members to edit Wikipedia articles to push pro-Zionist propaganda.
Bennett’s Extremist Political Career
Bennett later became the leader of The Jewish Home Party, which represents some of Israel’s most hardline religious-nationalist settlers. Throughout his career, he has fought against the establishment of a Palestinian state.
In one statement, he compared Palestinians living under Israeli occupation to “shrapnel in the butt of a soldier”—implying that, while they cannot be removed, they must be contained and controlled. He has also stated, “There is not going to be a Palestinian state within the tiny land of Israel. It’s just not going to happen. A Palestinian state would be a disaster for the next 200 years.”
Of course, this ignores the fact that Israel itself has been a disaster for 75 years.
Bennett’s Plan: Annexation and Apartheid
Bennett’s so-called “solution” is for Israel to annex the West Bank while giving Palestinians the option of either Israeli citizenship or permanent residency. In exchange, his apartheid government would build segregated roads for Palestinians—allowing them to travel without passing through Israeli checkpoints. This is what passes for “moderation” in Israeli politics!
Bennett’s Support for Starvation as a War Tactic
During Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, Bennett opposed allowing any humanitarian aid into Gaza, stating that he did not want to supply electricity to his enemy. This means that, like most Israeli politicians, he sees every man, woman, and child in Gaza as an enemy and openly supports using starvation as a weapon of mass murder.
Bennett is no moderate—he is a racial supremacist and a war criminal. He deserves arrest and prosecution, not a prestigious platform at American universities.
