Exclusive: FightBackBetter Reveals Rutgers University Connection to Letter Promoting Sanctions on Palestinian-American Community Center (Clifton, NJ) and 18 Genocide Opposing Organizations
The following is information from Ben Taylor who fielded for Congress in 2024 in CD-9 as a candidate of the Green Party of NJ (GPNJ). He has learned that Rutgers University is connected through its Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence to an organization directly involved in the production of information used to call for an investigation and possibly the financial sanctioning of numerous organizations including NJ’s beloved Palestine Action Community Center in Clifton NJ. Several others organizations with members and volunteers in NJ are in the list targeted for severe financial repression. FightBackBetter recently condemned this smear letter and McCarthyite demand based upon fraudulent IHRA narrative. During his first term Trump signed an illegal executive order providing legal harm to opponents of Israel and now NJ Democrats are trying to pass Trump inspired IHRA laws that will force loyalty to Israel and provide severe legal penalties and funding cuts otherwise.
DETAILS OF RUTGERS CONNECTION TO THIS FASCIST REPRESSIVE EFFORT, by Ben Taylor
Much of the information cited by the Committee originates from the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), an Israeli-linked non-profit organization affiliated with Rutgers University’s Center for Critical Intelligence Studies (CCIS). The CCIS is widely known to serve as a front for the CIA at Rutgers, recruiting students to work for weapons manufacturers and US intelligence bureaus and very likely Israel bureaus.
Since 2021, Rutgers University has held a partnership with Tel Aviv University through a MOU signed by then-president Holloway. In 2024, the Rutgers University Student Assembly unanimously voted to end all University ties with Israel’s human rights abuses- a divestment proposal that was openly rejected by University leadership.
The NCRI, then, may represent a product of these partnerships. Its studies focus primarily on China and Israel, attempting to blame China for US support of Palestine. The most widely cited study produced by the NCRI alleged that TikTok, under Chinese governmental control, was indoctrinating young people- a study that was used to further the US ban on TikTok. Much of the NCRI’s funding comes from the Israel on Campus Coalition, which is known to take instruction from the Israeli government.
Interesting that Rutgers University that claims adherence to academic freedom would be tied to this institution that worked hand in glove to create a false narrative leading to demands to ban TikTok, which had played a very important role to expose the US supported Israeli genocide against the Palestinians of Gaza. Rutgers indeed was instrumental in the genocide propaganda war and engaging students and faculty in this diirect collaboration.
FightBackBetter is bringing this to the surface and raising questions as to whether this is what the University should be about – especially since it is always ready with police reaction whenever the students and faculty and staff unite to demand an end to Rutgers support for genocide. This is another direct hand of Rutgers connected to the genocide project and it makes a clear case for the ENDING of ICCAE and all ties to empire, imperialism and genocide. CIA OFF CAMPUS!
