FightBackBetter Wants to Help

Above is a widely circulated “Rapid Response Network” map for NJ to attempt to mobilize support for working people and families coming under ICE repression in NJ. Text has been added with links to the organizers of the network and links directly to the phone numbers for quick click phone connections.

FigthBackBetter in January 2024 was rebranded as a micro-focused news site dedicated to reporting on the efforts of NJ’s opponents to the US supported Israel genocide against the nation and people of Palestine.

The violence of the genocide to some degree has been brought to the streets domestically in the US including in NJ and accordingly FightBackBetter is taking the risky step of adding opposition to ICE actions and support for those who are under attack by ICE and other police agencies to our coverage interest. We do not truly have capacity to do this properly so for now we are going to try to amplify resources and cover what stories we can manage – while attempting to continue the Palestine full court press. It will take some momentum before we can be up to speed in attempting adequate coverage of the #ICEOutofNJ effort – but here is a foot forward.

The best way for this to be done successfully would be for some of the ICE opponent community to participate directly at FightBackBetter to help get your reports and messaging posted here. It might sound like a lot of extra effort but once you have posted your information in Insta or Facebook or elsewhere it takes only minutes to add the posting here. While it is understandable that everyone is overwhelmed – this editor believes some ICE opponent participation at FightBackBetter in generating news reporting and announcements of actions and resources would benefit all and help firm up a unified fight.
