Police Report Still Not Available – Letter Sent to Montgomery Police
As of this morning, April 7, 2025 I have called and been informed by receptionist at the Montgomery Police that the police report for the false felony accusation that Assembly member Roy Freiman made against me because I dared to oppose a policy he supports is still unavailable at the Montgomery Police station. I had been previouly informed in a video available at this link that the police report is held up because the matter is still being considered at the NJ Office of Attorney General (Matthew Platkin AG) for possible charges. The following is my demand for the police report to be released immediately and an attorney is also making a written demand for the report today:

Subject: Police Report for Robert Witanek – False Freiman Accusation from March 14 Event
To Montgomery Police Department.
Please accept this letter as a formal request and demand for the immediate release of the police report regarding the false and frivolous accusation of Assembly member Roy Freiman that has been or is being investigated by the Montgomery Police and according to a recent videotaped interview with a Montgomery Police officer and spokesperson also by the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office and the NJ Office of Attorney General.
On Friday, March 28 Robert Witanek was informed by journalist Barbara Preston that the police report was being withheld by the police and that she was informed it was due to the matter being reviewed by the NJ Attorney General’s Office to determine if there would be charges.
Journalist Matt Friedman who apparently also has requested the police report was told that it is not available as of Monday March 31.
Robert Witanek visited Montgomery Township police on Monday March 31, and recorded an interview with a police representative who stated that the report is not available, confirmed that it is now at the OAG level, that the matter was escalated from Montgomery to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s office and then from there to the Office of Attorney General. The officer gave two versions of the reason why it was bumped from Montgomery Township to Somerset County in the video interview.

I Robert Witanek made about 10 calls on Friday April 4 to the phone number for the Montgomery Police report. I left a message the first time and nobody answered from morning through to later afternoon.
Please confirm immediately that the report is available for me to pick up.
