NJ’s Amazing Pro-Palestine Calendar Keeper – March 13 2024

The following is the product of a NJ resident who has been keeping a pro-Palestine calendar literally for years – possibly over a decade.  They are preferring anonymity – but approved circulation of the important information.  There is some analysis that comes with the announcements which is welcome on FightBackBetter.com . ed.
Mar7aba everyone,
A lot has transpired in the past week, and it will take some time to make sense of all the analyses, but the most positive development has to be Senator Van Hollen calling on the Biden Administration to stop weapons to Israel, as long as they actively impeded US humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
A bit of good news — a Real Estate event scheduled for this afternoon in a Flatbush synagogue, which would have marketed stolen Palestinian land and Israeli settlement property, has been cancelled. This is a Palestine solidarity movement victory, but there will be many more such real estate events happening again soon in our NY/NJ area, so keep your eyes peeled.
Organizers have shifted the scheduled protest into a Victory celebration and vigil for the martyrs — check out the details below:

Thurs. 14 March 2024 @ 1 p.m. ● Gaza in Context — “From Ongoing Nakba, to Ongoing Return” with Rana Barakat

While the conceptual and material reality of the ongoing Nakba is incredibly relevant in understanding Palestinian history, Rana Barakat will address how the ongoing Nakba is but one part of the larger framing of Ongoing Return. Through the conceptual framing of Ongoing Return, she will try to show how violence — in all its forms — works to foreclose our thinking as it eliminates our presence/present. Ongoing Return is a way to think about how the past and present forge our imaginations towards our futures as Palestinians and with Palestine.
