NJ Committee Against Kirk Based Repression in Formation
FightBackBetter has attempted to leverage the full powers of this news service tool to stop the fascism led by the NJ Democrats in full unity with their Trump counterparts in the NJ legislature to take our free speech rights away to speak freely and associate freely on the issue of where we stand on US-Israel genocide against the Palestinian People in Gaza.
Now we have a new free speech threat and it is claiming victims around NJ. Teachers, professors, doctors, professionals of every stripe are coming under attack.
MAGA fascists have started a database under the guise of monitoring NJ speech about Charlie Kirk are doxxing us for not having a proper opinion about the murdered right wing extremist and race baiter. Perhaps me even saying something as obvious and truthful as that is enough for the boot sucking MAGA snitches to smear. They have lost their minds and they think they can force the world to forget all of the very nasty mean things that Kirk said and all that he did – who he took money from and the threat to vast sectors of the population he made less safe with his veiled and not so veiled appeals to violence. FightBackBetter is not popularizing the links or names of the smear sites but we encourage attorneys to pull together an effort to bring about major lawsiuts against the slander and smear that will be rout across any MAGA Snitch Base.
Thiis NJ Committee Against Kirk Based Repression position is that NJ citizens and residents of NJ have a right to their own opinions and the right to state their opinions. We are not required by law or by MAGA snitch gangsters to adopt a certainly sanitized perspective like what several NJ Democrats including Gubernatorial candidate Sherrill united with MAGA that produces an entirely fictitious picture of where he stood and gives him credit for accomplishments that never occurred. As a rule we would oppose any actions against anyone who has spoken out after the Kirk murder – with some possible exceptions including calls to more violence which we would not defend. However nobody is required by law or should be coerced to respond and mourn Kirk’s death and a MAGA proscribed way.
We will oppose those organizations and politicians and blabber mouths that come for people over their Kirk statemntes. That does not mean we agree with all of those statements but we defend free speech and we oppose the move to try to force the people to believe untruths and myths about KIrk.
If you do not like what people say you are free to say the opposite. But if you want to be MAGA snitches – and create problems for people just because they disagree with you – this editor predicts that history will hold you accountable. You will not be judged kindly even by your own children and grandchildren.

Rider University fired an adjunct faculty member today.
Their crime? In President Loyack’s words, their “behavior did not reflect our expectations for respectful and civil engagement” and “several individuals at Rider received a threat directed at our campus as a result of this individual’s actions.”
What did this faculty member do? They posted on their personal Facebook page expressing their viewpoint on a matter of public concern. That posting led an individual (or some individuals) to make threats against them and against Rider. And what did Rider do? Did it protect the faculty member’s right to participate in a public forum? Did it stand up for the faculty member’s Academic Freedom? NO! Instead, it blamed the faculty member for becoming a target of violent threats and fired them.
This is clearly in violation of the University’s obligation under our Agreement. Under Article IV Academic Freedom, the University agreed that it would “not threaten, coerce, or discipline members of the bargaining unit because of what they say or what they do as private citizens.” There is no requirement that one’s speech as a private citizen meet someone else’s notion of “respectful and civil engagement” or that one’s speech not lead to violent threats from irresponsible third parties.
We should all be outraged by the University’s actions in this case. If they can fire an adjunct for what they say as a private citizen, they can fire any of us for what we say.
The AAUP will take all actions within its power to right this wrong.
