Mahmoud Khalil Case Moved to New Jersey

Politico-“The case involving Mahmoud Khalil, the Palestinian activist and green card whom the Trump administration is seeking to deport, will remain in New Jersey, a federal judge ruled Tuesday, rejecting the administration’s effort to move it to Louisiana.”

This ruling was celebrated by Mr. Khalil’s lawyers, and booed by the government lawyers. However, despite the courts ruling, ICE still lists Mr. Khalil’s location as Louisiana as of 10:14PM 4/2/2025. Mr. Khalil is scheduled to appear in a New Jersey court room on April 8th.
