Green Party Assembly Candidate Promotes Efforts to Defend FightBackBetter Editor from False Charges

Editor’s Note: This editor and NJ LD16 Candidate for Assembly is grateful to NJ LD26 Green Party for Assembly Lily Benavides who offered to help “get my back” as I might be facing trumped up charges from the NJ OAG – that is reportedly reviewing a patently false accusation by NJ LD16 Assembly member (and smear artist) Roy Freiman who filed a false report of bribery to Montgomery Police. According to what Montgomery Police have told a local reporter, the police report of the false smearing accusation has not been released because it is being reviewed for possible charges by the Office of the Attorney General (Matt Platkin).
Much appreciation and respect to my colleague and friend Lily Benavides. It is tough in my position. As editor of FightBackBetter I try to get everyone’s back. Having learned yesterday (March 28) about this OAG involvement I have become much more concerned about the false smearing accusation by Freiman. Honestly there has not been too many folks coming forward to get my back yet – so Lily’s support goes a long while and her offer to seek additional support – see below – is a big lift to my current morale. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL! THANKS LILY!

I would like to ask you Assemblyman Roy Freiman, do you know what the definition of democracy is? Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives. The word “democracy” comes from the Greek words – “demos” meaning “the people” and “kratos” meaning ‘power ” or “rule “. Does your attitude towards your opponent look democratic at all? Power by the people, not from one! In this case calling yourself a democrat is an insult to the people that have elected you for office. By calling the police on Bob Witanek, a human rights and pro- Palestine activist, you show your true colors and prove how democrats are just republicans in disguise. By abusing your power given to you “by the people” you are just doing the same thing as Trump, Musk and their allies that all of your party mates pretend to fight. On top of that, the issue here is about the IHRA bill which doesn’t have anything to do with antisemitism but for both parties, REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS, working together to take away our FREEDOM OF SPEECH besides the fact that this bill was created to defend a foreign country and support its continuos genocide and displacement of Palestinians. If that bill were approved we the citizens would lose our right to freely express our opinion on basically every single issue. Don’t forget that you work for us and that elections are coming soon!
