75 House Dems Including NJ’s Pallone Praise ICE Terror
NJ’s Rep. Frank Pallone, CD 6 D is among 75 House Democrats who just kneeled to Noem and Trump’s ICE terror drive by voting for a resolution praising ICE.
There is a pattern of Democratic Party support for Trump’s ICE terror . . . the first thing that NJ Senator Kim D did when he took office as US Senator was to vote FOR ICE crackdown overseeer Kristi Noem to head Department of Homeland Security even though she had made her intentions to bring terror to our streets quite clear. Both NJ US Senate representatives Kim and Booker also approved Rubio as Secretary of State and he too has been key especially in the crackdown against student activists attending US universities on student visas.
While it is correct to condemn the role of Trump’s current actions it needs to be kept in mind that many of the methods being carried out by the Trump administration – are policies that were normalized under previous administrations including Obama’s, Trump’s prior term and Biden’s term. It also needs to be understood that Biden steadily continued to increase ICE expenditures with bipartisan funding support from Congress as shown here – Biden’s ICE budget at the end of his term exceeded Trump’s by over 19%! Trump might be more in your face and blatant with the ICE crackdown but Biden’s deportation actions were also brutal and destructive to our communities.
The Democratic Party has a different agenda from the solidarity movement that is challenging the ICE crackdown in the streets. The movement demands an immediate halt to ICE terror and relief and that is what is needed from the aggrieved vulnerable targeted communites. The Democrats on the other hand want to leverage animosity enough to help with a favorable midterm election result for the Democrats in 2026 while upsetting the status quo as little as possible.
So you see the Democrats talking both sides of the issue and making policy decisions – like approving Noem and Rubio, voting to fund ICE and for a resolution praising ICE – while attempting to insert their elected officials as the spokespersons at gatherings challenging ICE terror.
Lets stay steadfast:
Immediate moratorium on all ICE activity – defund and dismantle ICE
Free the ICE detainees
Troops out of our communities
In NJ Respect Immigrant Trust Memorandum
Build the support networks, monitor and oppose repressive ICE activiies in our commutnieis
