Ceasefire Vigils held in Teaneck, Mt. Laurel

Citizens in Teaneck and Mount Laurel held vigils this week calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza. These actions, which are held every week intend to raise awareness about the genocide being conducted in Gaza with US military support.

Teaneck for Peace and Justice held it’s ceasefire rally this Wednesday at 4PM. The group has been rallying in the same place since 2005. More detailed information can be found here. The group’s Facebook can be found here.

South Jersey For Gaza held it’s second weekly rally at Prospector’s Steakhouse in Mt Laurel. The rally called for “for an arms embargo, permanent ceasefire, and end to the genocide.”

These weekly rallies are an effective way to shape public opinion in support of Palestine and to build networks for future organizing. The incoming administration has a plan called Project Esther, aimed at undermining the pro-Palestine movement through lawfare. Keep the following in mind:

  • You have the right to speak—don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
  • Trust, but verify—don’t let them isolate you from your allies and comrades.
  • Avoid posting anything on social media that you wouldn’t want read in court.
  • Our work is rooted in truth, and they cannot deceive everyone, all the time.

Our mission is to organize the American people to spark a revolution in moral values—moving away from racism, materialism, and militarism, toward humanity, solidarity, and peace. Without a shift in values, no true change is possible. We must build a working-class political party capable of challenging the power of capitalists and their duopoly.
