Delaney Hall Christmas Vigil / ongoing support vigil

Visiting hours all day Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am -7:30 pm at Delaney Hall detention jail in Newark.

Last times there was lightning, rain, snow, or extreme cold, visitors had to wait outside (see the new metal open air “shelter “).

Donations of gift cards for Stop and Shop or ShopRite to help families whose loved ones are detained are welcome. Also needed: hand warmers, hats, mittens, scarves. I’ll be heading there from Teaneck with quesadillas and pizzas from fabulous Teaneck restaurants at 11:30 if you want to join me (or drop off donations before then). Activists are assuming it will be the same tomorrow,  Saturday,  during the major snow storm.
