US Opponents of Genocide Now Face New Fascist Congressional Investigation – NJ Dems Allied w/ Trump Fascism – NJ Active Groups Listed!

Two Trump Republican congressional representatives, James Comer (R-KY) and Anna Luna (R-FL), have sent a letter to Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessant demanding an investigation of 19 Palestine solidarity organizations including NJ’s beloved Palestine Action Community Center. The letter is an entire set of lies and smears and those accusations are not even worthy of publishing. The letter centers around alleged support of a US citizen for pro-Palestine activity in the United State with allegations that this US citizen is connected to China. Most damaging in the letter is what these two brainless Trump bootlicking congress members call for:

We . . . request that the Treasury immediately undertake a formal evaluation to determine the applicability of any relevant sanctions and any other civil remedies or criminal penalties for Mr. Singham’s assets, and the assets of entities he controls or funds, including whether to freeze or seize such assets. Such an evaluation should include, in addition to Mr. Singham’s directly controlled assets, the following entities alleged to have ties with Mr. Singham.

Organizations listed include:

Party for Socialism and Liberation, Code Pink, No Cold War, Tricontinental, United Community Fund, Justice and Education Fund, People’s Support Foundation, New Fame, People’s Forum, Dongsheng News, Shut It Down for Palestine, ANSWER Coalition, International People’s Assembly, Al-Awda NY, National Students for Justice in Palestine, Palestinian Youth Movement, Palestinian American Community Center NJ, Samidoun; and BreakThrough Media.

Everybody needs to understand the following: Do not look at this list and think – “oh I am in the clear because I am not in the list.” No, the way this works is slippery slope rule – this is a broad brush swipe at all of us and they can come for all of us based upon this very wide ranging list. The letter threatens possible sanctions against the individual named – which is also a warning to us that they believe they have the right to SEIZE OUR LIFE EARNED ASSETS over our oppostiion to genocide! If they sanction him they can sanction these groups and that means they plan to sanction all of us in addition to all of the state violence and repression – led by Trump and wholesale supported by the Democratc Party including NJ’s Democratic Party. Trump and the Democrats who support this pro-Israel fascism are coming for our life earnings!

NJ Democrats have already demonstrated that they are allied with this exact kind of repression through their proposed IHRA laws and with the silence of the Democratic Party elected officials about the repression against us by the Trump administration. We demand over and over protection against fascist repression from NJ Democrats and instead they give Trump support in bringing it through their support for IHRA. We were subjected to Democratic Party aligned violence when we protested for free speech in Trenton on July 24!

Fightbackbetter demands of NJ’s elected Democrats and candidates to join me in wholesale condemnation of this specious witch hunt and we call out the fascist NJ Republicans in their clear alliance with bringing the forces of repression against NJ’s good people and beloved organizations that take the risks in this fascist apartheid state of the USA to stand against genocide. We condemn all silent collaborators of both parties with fascist repression. We will not be silenced and as we learned from our work in solidarity with NJ’s beloved Palestinian community – we are resilient – we are determined – we are loud and we will fight back and defeat these fascist repressive measures.

Our solidarity with organizations that are facing severe repression does not mean that we fully agree with those groups on every matter. If we defend from prosecution and persecution that does not mean we are personaly responsible for the actions of the groups. What it does mean is that the actions are legit and should not be persecuted and that you come for one you come for all of us. And in the end we are coming for you in every political sense whether you support the fascism or are in positions of power and are silent to it.

SUGGESTIONS:

• All organizations, news outlets and individuals are encouraged to condemn this witch hunt in public statements in social media, to the press and to elected officials.
• A unity statement for NJ and another for the entire nation should be generated.
• Messages of support should be sent to all impacted organizations.
• Massive mobilizations are needed against this specific repressive measure as well as against all of the repression coming for the pro-Palestine effort AND the rest of the people in this apartheid USA.
