Mo Hamz: Show Your Love to the @thebaklavalady – And Lets All Get Her Back!
Mo Hamz on October 16 released this video supporting and getting the back for a local baker in Englishtown whose business “The Baklavalady” was the subject of an attack for posting a sign stating that customers should not be supportive of genocide of Palestinians. She has received threats, there was a police report and there is continued harassment of her business for taking a stand. Mo Hamz here calls for support and condemns those who have targeted her for standing against the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Hi everyone. Sso this is my good friend Najia also known as the Baklavala Lady who owns an incredible Turkish cafe in Englishtown New Jersey called the Baklavala Lady. Not only is she an amazing Baker of the most delicious Turkish Goods but she may be one of the nicest human beings on Earth. Before I get into this I’m going to show you guys a picture and I want you to tell me if there’s anything problematic with it. Do you see anything wrong or disrespectful on this sign?
I’ll answer that for you no there is nothing wrong with this sign in fact this sign is beautiful in its Simplicity and Humanity. There’s nothing wrong with a sign that says you’ll serve those that want peace for all that want an oppressed people to be free with the same basic human rights as anyone else that don’t want a country being attacked by an oppressive regime.
These are simple statements that anyone with an ounce of humanity should be able to say without persecution but not with the zos they are now harassing and threatening our beloved Baklavala Lady to no end with the most racist dehumanizing and violent language and they’re not just harassing her they’re threatening to shut down her business while threatening her and her family with death threats.
They even went as far as to file a police report claiming discrimination and are going after her landlord who could possibly be pressured enough to evict her.
