Teaneck High School Students to Walk Out Wed Dec 4 1:30pm to Protest Continuing US Supported Israeli Genocide Against the Palestinian People

Over a year into the genocide that the US is sponsoring through support for Israel, Students at Teaneck High School are organizing another walkout to show their solidarity with the Palestinians. They want to spread awareness and educate their peers and the town about this on going genocide.

Student Organizers of this event have asked that this announcement be updated to state the reasons for this action:
1. Spread awareness & educate people about The Nakba.
2. Hands off student policy.
3. Stop censoring protected speech.

The students also asked to clarfiy as the district is trying to suggest falsely that this event is not student led. Indeed one of the student organizers was spoken to about it by an administrator today. The event according to the students themselves is indeed student led.

Last year after Teaneck High School students protested against the genocide, US Congress Representative Josh Gottheimer (D) called for a US Department of Education investigation of the high school students for exercising their protected free speech rights. Gottheimer recently launched a bid to be elected Governor of NJ and at his campaign launch event as reported on November 18, he called for police action against the pro-Palestine advocacy movement across the state of NJ. He has also called for book banning and tried to dictate curriculum to Princeton University and has united with the most extreme right wing Trump supporting member of US Congress Virginina Foxx to try to dictate university investment policy to force university investment into the failing Israeli economy.

This FightBackBetter editor says: HEY JOSH! LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!

The students invite community members to meet them and join their march through town:
