Democrats just might snatch defeat from hands of victory by supporting war
The only way the Democratic Party can claim that they truly oppose Trump’s US – Israel war on the nation and people of Iran and the over all Middle East is to block up every Democratic Party US Rep and Senater to oppose funding for the war going forward. Many Democratic Party voters are fooled during war time when there is a Republican president in the USA. They hear anti-war sounding statements from a majority of Democrats in Congress and in the US Senate and it gives a false impression that the Democrats as a party oppose whatever war the US is engaging under Republican presidents.
However the true role of a party and its true power is its ability to block up – especially around the most important issues of war, foreign policy and funding for internal repression (DHS / ICE fundng). If Democrats are not completely blocked or united – even if mostly so – in opposition to Republican measures, in effect through the disorganization of the Demcorat voting block in the US Senate and US Congress, the Demcorats as a party in effect voted to pass the Republican measures. The Democrats inability to have a solid block means that they tucked their tails and gave in.
That is exactly what happened over the War Powers Act attempt led by Ro Khanna (D – CA) and Thomas Massie (R – KY). The exact number of Decmocrats needed to undermine the war powers resolution broke ranks and joined the Trump psycho-pedo war party to sabotage the War Powers resolution.
WAR POWERS FAILURE A FAIL FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
The Democrats failed the first important litmus test that demonstrates that they do not have the basic party block foundation to use their power with their elected officials in Congress and Senate to effectively maximize opposition to Trump policy. All the strong sounding statements that get shared and circulatd by loyal Democratic voters are totally deflated by a party that can not block and can not hold its rank.
If the Democrats do NOT have enough votes but they block – then you know they at least did what they could have with the power they hold. But in cases like with the Khanna – Massie warpowers resolution, they basically draw straws to determine who can best manage the fall out of an unpopular vote. They coordinate behind the seens and deliver Democratic Party as a whole alignment with Trump with enough votes to carry the day.
When Israel has an interest, the votes are always coordinated through the AIPAC channels using the carrot of campaign funds and the stick of opposition in Democratic primaries if you do not answer the AIPAC call. That is precisely what happened with the war powers failure.
The fail of the war powers resolution is bad news for Iran, Israel, the entire Middle East, the entire planet and also it is a disaster for the Democratic Party. In election contests occurring across the country to replace vacated slots outcomes have shown a tremendous shift in the Democratic Party direction even in hard MAGA right voting contests. These results are a factor mainly of the overwhelming rejection of Trump policies even by part of his base. However the momentum that the Democrats now have toward midterm can easily be lost if the Democrats – as seems to the case – are seen as supporting Trump’s reckless and slaughterous war. This is a war that Israel pressured Trump to launch and the war is having a tremendously destructive role on Israel and US assets. While many Democrats are criticizing aspects of decision making it appears consensus is starting to build for enough of a Democratic Party base in both the US Congress and Senate to cover any Republicans who might dissent from the war funding.
Indeed already it was determined twice that the Democrats are ready to give up enough votes in congress to provide support for world wide destructive war – our entire US treasury being sacrificed in what might be the final acts of history of the human race.
One interesting development regarding the Khanna – Massie War Powers invocation attempt is what happened with Josh Gottheimer in NJ. He had been speaking out in favor of a separate weaker war powers invocation and was not supportive of the Khanna – Massie bill. There were 3 protests in his legislative district on the eve of his vote and he actually ended up supporting the Khanna – Massie measure. It was clearly a response to the effective NJ community actions to flip his vote.
However the fix was still in since the Democrats were able to have just the bare minimum slide over to MAGA aggressive fascist war camp and vote to sabotage the war powers invocation. All four Democrat who went over are among the top AIPAC supported Democrats in congress:
Rep. Cuellar of Texas
Rep. Golden of Maine
Rep. Landsman of Ohio
Rep. Vargas of California
DEMOCRATS SUPPORT ANTI – IRAN AND FALSE REPUBLICAN (H.Res.1099) SMEAR RESOLUTION
Another sign of Democratic support for the Trump – Israel launched unprovoked aggression against Iran is a resolution – on the heels of the terrorism by the USA and Israel targeting Iran – a Republican resolution calling Iran the worse terrrorist nation in history. It is an entire concoction as Israel and the USA, since they both co-sponsor every terrorist act alternating who is in lead and supportive roles share that top terrorist distinction. Gaza is the evidence and it is clear.
Most Democrats across the board voted for the smear resolution. That vote is a dry run for the many votes ahead to fund the continuation of the self destructive US – Israel terror war on Iran. Already all of the US military bases of the Middle East region have been hit, many effectively destroyed. Israel is in shambles. Iran is too but let history record: the biggest threat ever to the constantly touted Israel rights to exist and defend – all on the verge of total destruction IS OF ITS OWN DOING IN LAUNCHING OF THIS! Israel’s destruction is a result of its own action.
US and Israel are the terrorist responsible parties for every action including Iran’s retaliation and defensive actions – WHICH IRAN INDEED HAS TE RIGHT TO DO – to defend ITS existence!
The vote on the Republican smear resolution ( H.Res.1099 – 119th Congress (2025-2026)) against Iran was only opposed by 57 democrats and 5 NJ Democrats voted for the Trump war supporting measure: Pou, Conaway, Gottheimer, Pallone and Norcross. They are the same 5 that gave carte blanche to Rubio’s State Department terrorization of students who dared to oppose genocide and carrying out the reckrless undermining of relations with every other nation on the planet. These same 5 Democrats now have backed this anti-Iran resolution that is a dress rehearsal for the votes ahead for funding the war.

Weak resolutions that portray Iran as the cause of the current war don’t reign in Trump – they give bipartisan cover for him to kill
more people. This is not an accident. These five Democrats are just as happy as Republicans to see Americans, Iranians, and others in the Middle East die to protect Israeli interests and distract from Trump’s political problems.

THE GREATEST 2026 ELECTION ERROR THE DEMOCRATS HAVE ALREADY STARTED TO MAKE
The two consecutive votes are the writing on the wall. The Democrats are going to attempt to use the Iran war to undermine Trump while simulteaneously giving Trump and Israel everything they need to continue the destruction of the entire Middle East and even the planet.
Democrats will mock Trump’s decisions, call out the recklessnes, talk about the children massacred by the US and Israel at the Iranian girls school, say it was wrong for Trump to do this. But it is all an act to win votes without actually opposing the war.
IF DEMOCRATS DO NOT BLOCK IN US SENATE AND US CONGRESS AGAINST FUNDING FOR WAR IT MEANS THE WAR IS BIPARTISAN
The only way for the Democratic Party to oppose these attacks is to act like a true party, close ranks and block up – to be unbreakable. That did not happen in the Khanna – Massie vote. The Republican measure smearing Iran is an indication of what will happen if Trump / Israel demand more billions for their planet threatening action – the same 5 NJ Democrats and almost the entirety – of the AIPAC Democrats in the US Congress and US Senate – about 2/3 of the Democrats will deliver the blood and destruction (while many running home to check their profit statements from their holdings in war munitions industry).
TASK FOR NJ DEMOCRATS WHO OPPOSE THIS WAR
Those who are Democrats in NJ who claim to oppose the US / Israel war against the nations and peoples of the Middle East – and of the entire world because that is where this is headed – if you are not saying anything about Pou, Norcross, Gottheimer, Pallone and Conaway support for this war and not demanding that Democrats block up against the funding requests that are soon to come – you are just as complicit as they. You can say all you want about “Trump’s war” but you are telling yourself a lie – it is your war too!
WILL DEMOCRATS LOSE SUPPORT IN MIDTERM BY SUPPORTING WAR ON IRAN?
The short answer is YES. How bad will it be? It depends on the destruction.
If Democrats want to win hands down in 26 – they need to BLOCK – absolutely. If they say it is impossible then they admit they do not function as a party – they do not use the power of the solid voting block and they are capitulative to Trump on one of his worse actions – this first strike, aggressive, unprovoked destructive attack on Iran and the worldwide consquences likely to follow.
