Weekly and Biweekly Protests in New Jersey
Mondays
On Monday, February 3rd, South Orange and Maplewood for Palestine organized a protest at Rep. Mike Sherrill’s Livingston office as part of the “Mondays with Mikie” campaign. Held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, the protest called for an arms embargo, a permanent ceasefire, the reinstatement of UNRWA funding, and a Free Palestine.

Wednesdays
South Jersey for Gaza held its weekly protest outside Pioneer’s Steakhouse in Mount Laurel on Wednesday, February 5th, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The rally focused on demanding a permanent ceasefire, an arms embargo on Israel, justice for Palestine, and liberation for all.

Meanwhile, Teaneck for Peace and Justice started their rally as South Jersey for Gaza’s protest was wrapping up. Held at the Teaneck Armory from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the event has been a consistent call for an end to American military aggression since the war in Iraq began over 20 years ago.

Fridays
Montclair for Peace hosted its weekly vigil on Friday, February 7th, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 2 Church Street, demanding a permanent ceasefire across all occupied Palestinian territories.
Saturdays
South Jersey for Gaza held its second rally of the week on Saturday, February 8th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Krispy Kreme in Collingswood. This protest was in direct response to Trump’s recent comments about taking over Gaza and expelling the Palestinians from their homes. On Instagram the group posted “Gaza is not for sale! Palestine is for the Palestinians!”

Sundays
On Sunday, February 9th, South Orange and Maplewood for Palestine organized it’s weekly protest from 2-3 at Maplewood Town Hall.
