The East Orange action is part of a statewide protest with as of now about a dozen protests around the state, all initiated by high school and college students:

It’s been quiet for too long. Palestine is suffering and NJ students are here to make a difference by standing together to raise awareness on our march. The school year in Gaza ended prematurely because a majority of the students were murdered. The students of NJ will not let their deaths become another statistic. JOIN US at any march listed on the docket, or hold your own, as we demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire—and shed light on the injustices happening on the other side of the world!
