The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the latest Israeli massacre in Lebanon after an entire family of 17 members was wiped out by an airstrike Sunday on the town of Zboud in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon.

An Israeli attack on the Sothern Lebanese city of Ain el-Delb reportedly killed 24 people.

Since Sept. 23, Israel has slaughtered 816 people and injured more than 2,500 in Lebanon. Up to one million people have been displaced by Israel’s attacks on Lebanon. That mass killing comes as the number of Palestinians killed by Israel tops 41,000, mostly women and children. Palestinian children were killed in an Israeli strike on a school in northern Gaza.

Today’s massacres comes as Israel today bombed power plants and port facilities in Yemen’s city of Hodeida.

Pope Francis said Israel’s attacks go “beyond morality.”

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

“As Israel slaughters civilians and destroys cities with impunity throughout the Middle East, the Biden administration ignores U.S. and international laws and norms by supporting – through actions and inaction – the far-right Netanyahu government’s obvious desire for an all-out regional conflict. The Biden administration’s complicity in this killing and destruction must end. President Biden must act to force a ceasefire.”

On Friday, CAIR called on President Biden to “stop enabling Netanyahu’s madness” after the Israeli government reportedly levelled an entire city block in Beirut, massacring an untold number of civilians, including children.

Washington, D.C., based CAIR also called on President Biden to “stop acting like a bystander” and force a ceasefire on Israel’s Netanyahu government after Israeli forces slaughtered civilians in Gaza and Lebanon.

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
