It seems like an uptick of ICE activity across the state but it is possible this editor is just happening to come across more reports. There are also numerous anti-ICE protests across the state. Nationally the US administration of Trump is setting the table for massacring immigrants and the supporters who are alerting to the presence of lethal threat of ICE in the neighborhood. The administration is absolutely doubling down on justifying Renee Good’s murder and also in using the National Security Presidential Memorandum proclamation of “extremist on immigration” to declare her a “domestic terrorist” which is the M.O. that the administration is hoping to use for a kill spree against ICE opponents who are alerting and working to help immigrants under attack in our communities.
There is strong possibility that the Immigrant Trust Act legislative package will be approved Monday January 12 or Tuesday Ianuary 13. The supportive communities are fully mobilizing to hit Trenton for the final showdown of the current legislative session.
More good news, it seems Cumberland County has added a Rapid Response Force and Roxbury could be passing a resolution on Tuesday opposing converting of a warehouse in Roxbury to an ICE ‘death camp’ – a possibility that was reported by the Washington Post recently.
Will Trump Escalate Attacks if NJ Passes NJ ITA Package?
While there is strong likelihood that NJ can have a people’s victory if Immigrant Trust Act is passed. However we need to be wary that Trump often reacts to setbacks with illegal misuse of his power to seek revenge against communities for actions taken by elected officials opposing his psycho #MAGendA. In this report I happened to notice it seemed an increase in ICE reports – kidnappings and sitings. It could be a coincidence that I just stumbled on more reports or Trump might be moving more thugs into place to bring more mayhem to NJ.

Over the past month, we have seen an increase in ICE activity in our community and as a result, together with allies and community members a Rapid Response Team has been formed – a group of volunteers willing to verify and document ICE activity, as well as report to the community and support the affected people in any way possible. This initiative is a collaboration of CATA, Bridgeton Harvest, SJ Solidarity and other community members who wish to support and protect their community.
Today itself, an acceleration of activity was felt in the care of Atlantic City, so we also want to take the opportunity to remind you what your rights are and how you can report ICE activity if you see it so our team can respond.
The Quick Response number for CUMBERLAND COUNTY is 1-888-347-3767. Call right away! When you call this number, we need you to share:
· The date and time when they saw something suspicious
· The specific place (a specific address or information that allows us to locate the place properly
· How many people saw – What clothes were they wearing
· The type of car they saw – the type and model – such as Nissan Altima or a Ford Explorer as examples
· The plate of the car if possible – State and Number
Remember that even in this environment they have rights:
• You have the right to remain silent
• Do not answer questions about your immigration stat us
• Do not show passport or documents that indicate your country of origin
