RCHP Press Conf 7/16 12:30pm Denounce Non Support for Edison Workers Victims of ICE Raid
Hi All,
Wednesday, 7/16 12:30pm, at RCHP, we will hold a press conference. We are holding it because, to our dismay, nobody else is holding it.
We need to DENOUNCE:
- Trump’s violent and horrible treatment of immigrants
-a state and federal government that doesn’t defend its people (no spine or heart in this so-called Sanctuary State it seems) - Alba Warehouse and the Staffing Agencies for their failure to support its detained employees and for the fact that the financial needs of the company, even in this moment of pain, are far more important than the lives of employees and their families. (this needs to serve as a warning to other warehouses or companies that might mistreat its immigrant employees like this).
- The conditions in the detention center where 20 friends are now trapped.
We need to COMMIT to loving our neighbors as ourselves and being in true solidarity and standing with the wronged against all oppressors and systems of oppression.
Come, help us raise money for legal needs of families, help us show families experiencing persecution true love.
