Billboard Sponsor Jewbelong Founder Called for Burning All of Gaza in Tweet – Now Tacitly Calling for Violence Against Pro-Palestine Students on Billbords – Sits on NJ Israel Commission
Archie Gottesman, a resident of Summit NJ, is co-founder of the organization “JewBelong” which sponsors semi-cryptic messages promoting a pro-Israel narrative. FightBackBetter has written about the billboard they have on Route 287 in NJ suggesting that colleges clamp down on opposition to the US and Israel’s genocide against Palestinians. The billboard is a tacit call for state violence against millions of anti-genocide students across the US – including thousands in NJ who have voted overwhelmingly, for example, on the Rutgers campuses to divest from genocidal Israel.
This is not the first time that Ms. Gottesman has called for violence though at least this one prior time she was more explicit – she literally made an open call for the genocide very similar to what is now occuring in Gaza. The following tweet of Archie Gottesman calls for burning “the whole place” – exactly the slaughter that Israel, fully supported by Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, is carrying out today. So she acts like she is concerned about pro-Israel students feeling discomfort, and thus pressuring colleges to repress the protected free speech of genocide opponents – instead, hers is more truly a call to bring the genocide she successfully cheered on as early as 2018 – to the college campuses. Interesting how her billboards are appearing just weeks after the Biden-Harris Administration have authorized the US military to use lethal force including the use of drones. We are facing daunting violence to silence our anti-genocide voices in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

The genocide bloviator (Archie) also has direct connections to NJ’s Democratic Party. She was appointed to the NJ Israel Commission which has an office in Tel Aviv and facilitates trade between NJ and Israel, among its other roles. The appointment of the violent hate- mongerer Gottesman to the Israel commission shows that NJ Democratic Politics can stoop to the most extreme and violent levels when it comes to supporting Israel, spreading hate and supporting the genocide of Palestinians.
Electronic Intifada wrote this blistering critique of Gottesman. The reporter Michael F. Brown denounced the role of this hate and violence advocate (Gottesman) on the NJ Israel Commission in NJ’s decision to preclude Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream from doing business with NJ.

Gottesman sits on the national board of the Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI) which recently endorsed Susan Altman, the former progressive activist turned pro-Israel and genocide congressional candidate. DMFI is part of the pro-Israel lobby – unlike AIPAC it focuses its efforts on supporting pro-Israel extremist candidates only within the Democratic Party while working to destroy the political ambitions of Democratic Party elected officials and candidates who voice criticism or occasionally vote against pro-Israel measures.
Gottesman has also served as a board member on the “Zionness” pro-Israel organization, although the Lioness website no longer shows her as a board member. However, references to her connection to the organization remain on the site. In addition, her daughter has been an active duty IDF soldier. They are reported to consider serving in that genocidal army as being “bad ass.”
It is important for us to unmask the true intent of this dangerous billboard campaign and to unmask the hateful violence mongerers like Gottesman who have been calling for slaughter of Palestinians for half a decade – they have no business with their “clever” calls for violence against our children – but we will defend and protect our children – no matter what force the pro-Israel gangsters throw our way!
