Like Bondi / NJ Dems of Like Mind: IHRA Laws Will Cut NJ Funds to Entities that Don’t Comply with Forced Israel Loyalty
US Attorney General Bondi has proclaimed that cities that do not “comply” with ICE terror attacks on our communities and on working people will lose federal funding as reported in this Instagram posting from Real American Media.
This mechanism is exactly how the IHRA laws being pushed by NJ’s state legislative Democratic Party leadership in NJ would work: if your school district, NJ funded college, library, non profit, municipality or other NJ state funded entity allows constituents, clients, employees, students to be disloyal to Israel the entity can have its state funding cut completely (if the NJ IHRA laws both parties are pushing pass) – it is proper to respond to and oppose these threats from the Trump administation as well as from Dem gubernatorial candidate in NJ Mikie Sherrill and democrats and republicans in the NJ State senate and Assembly that are mostly united on the proposed IHRA laws that will work the same way as Bondi is explaining in this Instagram posting from Real American Media
The NJ law will unleash mechanisms already prepared by pro-Israel lobbyist and advocacy organizations to generate legal challenges to every expression against US – Israel genocide. Legal written accusations and frivolous suits and complaints will be launched based upon the fraudulent pretense that effective criticism of US support for Israel genocide is anti-Semitic.
The pro-Israel political forces have been unable to stop the persistent demand of people throughout NJ to end the genocide – so they want to bring iron fisted repression against the justice and humanity loving people of the state of NJ. The problem with the plan is that even with these fraudulent laws if as expected the Democratic Party caves to Trump and passes IHRA in NJ – WE ARE GOING TO SAY FREE PALESTINE ANYWAY!
Even now we suffer consequences for it and we are saying it – these laws will not stop us. Eventually we will defeat these laws in court. However we expect damages to our communities in the interim but people see the suffering of the Palestinian people and know that any sacrifice we must make to end US support for genocide immediately pales to that of the suffering Palestinian people in Gaza!
Democrats are furious – properly – that the Trump administration is making these threats.
We in NJ are furious at both Trump and his wretched disgusting repression loving and empathy hating Republican party and at those like candidate Mikie Sherrill and most of the Democratic Party candidates for Assembly who are ready to pass NJ’s proposed IHRA laws based upon the SAME FLAWED PREMISE because people do not agree with them about US – Israel and the genocide in Gaza that instituions – colleges, public schools, libraries, municipalities, non-profits – any state funded entity can have funding cut for failure to thoroughly enforce loyalty to the US – Israel policies of genocide and war.
So if you are mad about Trump over this – we are mad with you too. But if you are not made – with US about IHRA – then we are mad that you are not mad about that!
That’s how it is!
