Disagreeing with Washington doesn’t make you a terrorist.
But under the new Executive Order on “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence,” that line is starting to blur.
This order gives the federal government sweeping power to label ordinary citizens as potential threats — not for committing crimes, but for holding the “wrong” opinions.
That’s not how democracy works.
New Jersey deserves leaders who will speak up when our rights are at risk — not stay silent.
Yet neither of our gubernatorial candidates has spoken out about NSPM-7, which directs federal agencies through the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTFs) to dismantle and eliminate networks, entities, and organizations they deem to be anti-Trump.
As someone running for the State Assembly, I’ll always stand up for your First Amendment rights — because protecting our communities must never mean silencing our citizens.
Free speech and peaceful disagreement are not crimes.
