Report reveals at least 377,000 people in Gaza have been ‘disappeared’ by the Israeli military, with half of that number believed to be children
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said a new report published via the Harvard Dataverse proves that the US-Israeli aid concentration sites in Gaza are a tactic of genocidal war and not a means of humanitarian relief.
That report found that the overall geographic relation of the aid concentration sites to Gazan populations and to the infrastructures of Israeli military control of Gaza as well as their consistent internal architecture, all suggest their design is predominantly responsive to Israeli military strategy and tactics rather than aimed at a broad humanitarian relief intervention.
Its abstract states:
“This report provides maps, location data, and an initial brief analysis of the Israeli/American/GHF aid distribution compounds rapidly constructed and beginning to operate in Gaza in May of 2025. The overall geographic relation of these compounds to Gazan populations and to the infrastructures of Israeli military control of Gaza, and, also, their consistent internal architecture, all suggest their design is predominantly responsive to Israeli military strategy and tactics rather than aimed at a broad humanitarian relief intervention.”
The report also reveals that at least 377,000 people in Gaza have been “disappeared” by the Israeli military since October 2023, with half of that number believed to be children. Authored by Israeli professor Yaakov Garb, uses data-driven analysis and spatial mapping to examine how Israeli attacks on civilians and the obstruction of aid have led to a dramatic drop in the enclave’s population.

The UN has reported that over 410 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces at aid distribution centers.

After 79 killed Palestinians were brought to Gaza hospitals over the past 24 hours, the Gaza death toll has risen to 56,077.
Since dawn, Israeli forces and drones have killed more than 80 Palestinians, including at least 51 near aid distribution centers.
In a statement, CAIR said:
“This important Harvard Dataverse report proves what has been brutally apparent for weeks – the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and its aid distribution centers have been nothing but a cruel Israeli strategy to slaughter Palestinians and to expedite the process of ethnic cleansing. To lure starving people into a trap with promises of food and aid is a level of evil that makes the blood run cold. This genocidal state must be stopped before its forces slaughter or expel the entire population of Gaza.”
