Ben Taylor Gains NJ CD-9 Momentum in Paterson “Little Palestine”
Each week, Ben Taylor and an entourage of supporters including other Pro-Palestine Green Party candidates have been hitting the streets of Paterson, NJ (Little Palestine) which is likely the US city with the most dense concentration of Palestinian Americans in the US.
On Thursdays from 6 – 7:30 they meet at Main Street (Palestine Way) and Gould at a little triangle-shaped park which they use as a base of campaign operations – flanking both sides of the street and parading up and down the block – distributing fliers, striking up conversations and receiving overwhelming support from Paterson residents who are overwhelmingly opposed to US – Israel genocide of their kin in Gaza.

Next Thursday August 10 will feature a speech from Ben Taylor and local residents. With just over a month remaining before ballots are cast on November 5th, many voters who live in the 9th District feel disenfranchised. Ben Taylor is expected to speak to this issue, citing the Israel lobby’s attempts to crush any candidate supportive of Palestine in this particular district. Street organizing works
At Paterson, in late September, Ben and this editor went trudging up Palestine Way announcing his candidacy. A gentleman shouted support for Jill Stein from window – we spoke with him and he ended up offering to adorn his office location with a mini 3X6 billboard size banner. This banner currently flies along Palestine Way.
This editor has participated each week. This was one of his brief street screeds following the U.S. – Israel weaponization of tech devices in Lebanon – the mass casualty action that murdered a couple of dozen Lebanese and wounded thousands. Hundreds lost one or both eyes from the U.S. – Israel terror attack.
