Sir Yes Sir! Sergeant Speaks Out Against Israel and Genocide and is Under Investigation
A Sergeant defiantly speaks out about the investigation into him because he mentioned Israel on social media. His action expressss the views of likely 10s of 1000s of US GIs who are watching in disbelief as the US turns the US military against working people in our streets, Venezuelan fishing boats, continues to fully support Israel genocide and every other Israel depravity and the Trump administration is defacto ordering lethal force against entire cities by fiat on social media!
This brave soldier who has served two decades is pointing out that he took an oath to hte United States and not Israel. But today much policy in the USA is being subordinated to the denands of Israel. 80% of congress is on the AIPAC / Pro-Israel lobbyist rolls – meaning they get paid by Israel linked lobbyists to subordinate the interests of the needs of Americans like health care for all and constitutionally protected rights. Americans do not get health care but US taxpayers finance free health care for Israelis. Furthermore, Israel through its lobby organizations is full court pressing federal, state and local government and every institution to shut down free speech regarding the depravities of Israel. Also of course Congress continues to approve endless arms and endless funding to Israel for the endless depravity Israel brings to Gaza, to the Palestinians and to the world.
The editorial position of FightBackBetter is to support the soldiers who now are starting to rise up and speak out against the current situation where they are likely to be deployed to aid slaughter in Gaza, Venezuela, Iran or Chicago, Memphis, Portland today maybe Newarkm NJ tomorrow!
In the USA, police receive ample compensation and when they become police they intend to perform the crowd violence to disrupt democratic free speech events and protect property and government policy from protest. The GIs on the other hand did not sign up – for where the current administration is taking the nation. The GIs are speaking out and there is likely an undercurrent of dissonance and rebellion across all the ranks.
US GIs have historically been innovative going at least back to the Vietnam War in developing ways to talk among themselves when things are not right. There were so many ways that disorder among the ranks of the US military during the Vietnam war undermined the effectiveness of the US Armed Forces. Many believe that GI resistance was a likely contributing factor to the US finally pulling the plug on that horrible mass atrocity by the US and its allies.
If there was ever a time for GIs to speak up and organize it is now. There are many efforts afoot – there are GI hotlines – there are veterans organizations and all are working to communicate to the GIs that we are here to support your saying NO to the illegal orders coming from the Trump Administration to attack your own people. The Generals are meeting with Hegseth who has turned the miliary upside down with explusions, pension cancellations, accusations against non-white soldiers and women of being unqualified and DEI, desrtuction of remembrances of ultimate sacrifices by non white soldiers. And now the order to kill people in the streets of the United States on top of the genocide that the US is participating in. Hegseth claims the meeting is about “warrior ethos” which has no exact definition but it is said that Hegseth is constantly talking about lethality – meaning he wants to kill, kill, kill!
