No Complicity NJ Launches Public Hearing Process Over National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (NSPM7)
On Wednesday, November 12, 4-6pm in Newark NJ, the newly formed No Complicity NJ committee is conducting an outdoor public hearing featuring testimony opposing NJ police participation in actions being directed by President Trump according to his National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (NSPM7) he signed on September 25, 2025.
The hearing is occurring on the North Side of McCarter Highway (N 21) on corner of McCarter Highway North and Centre Place, outside of the Newark FBI complex. The reason for that location is because NSPM7 NJ enforcement will be coordinated by the Joint Terrorist Task Force (JTTF) that is headquartered in the FBI complex.
NSPM7 attempts to refocus the priorities of US law enforcement toward categorizing US citizens and residents according to their First Amendment protected thoughts and opinions and speech activities on 10 topics. The memorandum falsely proclaims that our views on these topics can lead to being placed on a secret domestic terrorist list and announces a plan to use “comprehensive” and “disruptive” strategies expected to include predictive data analysis and AI to generate the lists. From NSPM7 text: ” Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.”
It is not specified in the NSPM7 but it is expected that Palantir and similar high tech data crunching companies will provide the data processing engine to power this en masse false labeling of US citizens and residents as “domestic terrorists”. Such a high tech role is the centerpiece of the current immigration crackdown being carried out by ICE and other federal policing agencies.
US AG Pam Bondi at a recent ‘ANTIFA Roundtable DIscussion” sittiing by Trump’s side declared that the same methods being deployed to attack designated “cartel terrorists” would be used against those they are proclaiming now tp be “domestic terrorist” . Presumably she is referring to the military attacks that have killed over 70 boat crew members near Venezuela and Colombia without offering any evidence of any crime committed.
This hearing process will include the gathering of written and video testimony, some of it at physical and virtual hearing events. A primary objective is to clearly document the communications that have occurred and continue to occur calling for emergency action by NJ Governor Murphy, Governor Elect Sherrill, Attorney General Platkin , the NJ legislature and municiapal govening bodies.
As we are identifying harms that are expected to come to NJ citizens and residents and remedies to prevent such harms, our documenting this hearing process serves notice.
We are making a good faith effort to call attention to the harms and in so doing charging the governing bodies to carry out their duty to protect the ctizens and residents of NJ from harms. If they fail to act and harms result to NJ residents the governing bodies and elected and appointed officials will be liable ethically and possibly legally.
For the record we have notifed our state rulers about the danger, about the potential consequences of inaction, about concrete actions that can provide some protection to NJ, about the urgency to act before the harms are inflictied and about their responsibility to act to protect us. There will be no hiding from the consequences with phony claims of ignorance of the harms because we will continue to spell it out as we continue to gather the testimony.
CURRENT STATUS:
As of now, (November 11, 2025) there has been no acknowledgment at all, not during the election campaign of MIkie Sherrill, not by Governor Murphy or Attorney General Platkin, not by NJ legislators and not by local municipal leaders of the very real harms that NSPM7 pose to NJ. The attempt to ignore this issue and turn a cold shoulder to our advocacy is duly noted for the historic record. Of course before NJ can act to protect us, it has to acknowledge the issue and the danger. Our objective of amassing this testimony is a further indictment of the efforts that they are undertaking to sidestep these articulated concerns:
While the NJ media has also nearly completely ignored this issue but the silence of NJ media was shattered by a Newark Patch report on our efforts. Proverbially that means that this issue is no longer confined to the dusty reportings at FightBackBetter – it is on the proverbial floor.
This process also provides for participants to put themselves on the historic record as having spoken out publicly in opposition to harms that could be coming to NJ citizens and residents. On the record we are calling for a feasible measure of protection and whether or not our demand for protection is heard by those with the power to protect – we are clearly stating it and nobody can claim ignorance as a defense if and when the harms start to amass.
The following are some of the writings, statements, communications etc. that are included as part of this hearing processed and presented as evidence of sufficient notification to state and local government about the need to take protective action to “keep NJ names off the NSPM7 harm list.”
Videos of testimony from November 12 event will be added here shortly.

Quoting John Hsu, October 24, 2025
“Trump’s memorandum on “domestic terrorism” is the product of depraved minds and a tacit acknowledgment that the president and his party cannot prevail on a level playing field. Without dissent, the American project will crumble and fade. I call upon Attorney General Platkin to do everything in his power to ensure that New Jerseyans will be protected from Trump’s anti-American crusade. In New Jersey, people stand up for their neighbors, even those who hold opposing views. In the face of Trump’s efforts to silence his critics, we must not be complicit.”
