Rally Against Israeli Genocide Architect Speaking At Princeton On April 7

Princeton University has invited Naftali Bennett, former Prime Minister of Israel and a war criminal, to speak on its campus on April 7th. Bennett, a member of Israel’s New Right political party, has openly supported the annexation of Area C of the West Bank with citizenship for Palestinians and has opposed a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In 2013, he has openly boasted about killing Arabs, declaring, “There is no problem with that.” Bennett has been accused of taking actions that resulted in the 1996 Qana Massacre, where Israeli artillery bombarded a UN peacekeeping compound sheltering civilians in Lebanon. The assault resulted in the deaths of 106 Lebanese civilians and the serious injury of 116 others, along with four Fijian UN peacekeepers. When asked about his role in this massacre, Bennet said that he was proud of them. A report by an artillery expert to the UN Security Council on the massacre can be read here.

Bennet served as Israeli’s prime minister in the 13th Israeli government and as alternate PM in the 15th, as PM he oversaw the Israeli machinery of ethnic cleansing including; settlement expansion in the West Bank, the Israeli siege of Gaza and the Judaization of the Galilee. However, despite his services to the state of Israel; the voters have not rewarded his New Right party with any seats in the current Israeli Knesset elected in 2019. With all this free time on his hands, Bennett is touring U.S. campuses to whitewash Israeli war crimes, according to Press TV, his speaking engagements are part of a broader effort to justify and obscure Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza. Students at Columbia University and Harvard have already protested his appearances in March, and Princeton students are will do the same.

The Princeton Palestine Liberation Coalition is calling for a protest against Bennett’s visit. The demonstration will take place at Nassau Hall on Princeton’s campus at 6:30 PM.
