Petitioning for LD16 Assembly General Nomination for Witanek Moving Forward

There was much drama when I announced a plan to run for Assembly – the two Democrat Assembly incumbent candidates Freiman and Drulis fabricated a false accusation of a felony and made a police report against me. The false report was found to be frivolous by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office but they instructed Montgomery Police to send it to the NJ OAG any way.

For almost 4 weeks the threat of an indictment was hung over my head and my entire priority was to avoid being prosecuted and possibly convicted – I could have died in prison accordingly. Fortunately due to my own self advocacy and support from a couple of 100 folks around NJ, the NJ OAG released the police report and I have not been indicted or charged at all.

The threat of prosecution caused an atmosphere of political terror in LD16. Volunteers who had offered to help backed off – they likely were nervous that they too could be falsely accused and prosecuted. For weeks after the police report was released I pondered if it is even possible to get the petition circulating.

Now I have decided to move forward and seek the nomination as a “Free Speech Unity” candidate for Assembly in LD16. So I am restarting the petition drive. The petition is due on June 10 2025.

I am looking for LD 16 petitioners to help with the effort. I am asking for volunteer help. If you are interested please use the form below.

There is also a link to the state site and from there you can print the signature pages. If you do not have access to a printer please contact me and I can bring you a petition.

Municipalities: Branchburg, Clinton, Clinton Township, Flemington, High Bridge, Hillsborough, Lebanon Borough, Millstone (Somerset), Montgomery, Princeton, Raritan (Hunterdon), Readington, Rocky Hill, South Brunswick
