D Magazines Deletes Details of Dallas Deathhouse Dealer Dalfen’s Immigrant Mexican Wife
Of February 23, 2025, D Magazine of Dallas Texas news coverage area ran a story about Sean Dalfen, a wealthy socialite of Dallas Texas who just sold a death camp to ICE state sponsored terrorists who have been marauding NJ communities and are planning to use the facility to harmfully restrain, deport, possibly kill and otherwise ham up to 180K people a year in NJ – an industrial mass harm factory.
The D Mag report was spurred on by an e-mail from this editor after I read some reports from Bethany Erickson how Dallas area folks had stopped a warehouse to deathhouse conversion in town outside Dallas Texas. In the original piece that Ms. Erickson wrote on the topic she properly credited this editor for bringing the story to her:
D Magazine first learned of the potential sale and its Dallas connection when Bob Witanek, a New Jersey activist, emailed regarding Sean Dalfen, alleging that he “owns a similar warehouse property in Roxbury.”
For unknown reasons, D Magazine has REMOVED this editor’s name and the quote now reads:
D Magazine first learned of the potential sale and its Dallas connection from an email that alleged he “owns a similar warehouse property in Roxbury.” Additional reports from New Jersey and Canadian news outlets also identified Dalfen as the owner at the time.
I have reached out to Ms. Erickson for clarification. As far as vanity goes – it is sad but it could mean that the work I am doing is a thorn in the side of someone powerful who applied pressure to remove the connection to the article. We know we made it happen – sad they now remove the historic record from their own reporting. 1984-ish no?
While there are other significant changes from the original D Magazine article, unfortunately this editor did not think to make a complete copy of the original article. One very blatant change is that mention of how Sean Dalfen is married to a Mexican immigrant who came to the United States at age 16 has been totally excised from the D Magazine article. There were no notes in the D Magazine article explaining the redactions and other changes.
When the article was first published, this editor had a friendly exchange with Ms. Erickson and she was proud of her reveal – via e-mail:
Ms. Erickson:
The story is up now. You will notice something else about Sean Dalfen.

Ms. Erickson was referring to the information she provided as to how Sean Dalfen is married to an immigrant from Mexico. Now that part of the story has been completely washed out of the article. How did that happen?
I have reached out to Ms. Erickson to ask about scrubbing the marriage info of the Deathhouse Dealer Dalfen.
The questions D Magazine should answer:
Was there pressure from Sean Dalfen, from advertisers, from the owners of D Magazine to remove the important information about Dalfen’s profiting off of harm of Mexican and other people and at the same time being married to a Mexican immigrant?
For now we should assume that yes, D Magazine was pressured to remove that information and that it succumbed to that pressure. If that is true it suggests that Sean Dalfen does not want the idea of profiting off of harm to Mexicans while he is married to a Mexican women. It is clearly a social contradiction.
The question for ALL OF US – as we move toward inudstrialized harm factories for harming 100s of 1000s of NJ residents and citizens a year installed to profit the Dalfen family including his Mexican wife – we also witness the powerful profiteers can have facts removed from news reports. – this is what we are up against! What are we going to do abou tit?
FightBackBetter reiterates that it is perfectly appropriate to raise therse concerns – these are the reasons I gave in the previous article about the D Magazine coverage – I stand by this position:
DALFEN’S WIFE AN IMMIGRANT FROM MEXICO, D MAGAZINE REVEALS
One thing that Ms. Erickson unearthed that had not been in the news narrative on this deal is the fact that Sean Dalfen is married to an immigrant from Mexico who came to the United States when she was 16 years old. How is that relevant? Well if the Death House is opened up for the harm business as intended by the Trump administration and ICE – many working class people and families of Mexican origin and those originating from other Latin American nations will be harmed.
Dalfen’s willingness to reap millions in profits from harming anyone – including potentially kin of his own wife – or even herself – as many citizens are being rounded up and some even being detained for months – makes the fact of his wife’s national origin relevant.
Whether or not his wife is ok with living in the lavishness of the gangster landlord life off the profits from the harm of her own national kin is not a given. While Latinos over all have a generally lower opinion of ICE than Caucasian white nationalist Christians, there are Latinos who are part of the ICE repression squads – both careerists and new hired temps – the financial draw is a reality.
But there is definitely a contradiction and definitely likely some internal marital conversations occurring in the Dalfen mansions. She could be perfectly fine with being rewarded the profits of repression, kidnapping and murder. Most Latin American nations have a ruling class and a working and oppressed class and the rulers are willing to benefit from the suffering of “their own people” just like in the United States.
One example is this Congress person in Colombia who has expressed deep support for Trump – opposition to Colombian president Petro but now that her 22-year-old son has been detained by ICE in NYC she appeals to Colombia’s president Petro for assistance in trying to get him out. Contradictions abound.
So since D Magaizine scrubbed the story about Dalfen’s Mexican wife, it is possible that FightBackBetter is now the only outlet covering the information.
