Today 3.24 was a walk down memory lane for this Cook College (Rutgers) Class of 82 anti-war protester – still living but I haunted my old stomping grounds.
We are protesting Friday 3.27 4 – 7 pm corner of College Av and Hamiliton St – The Yard .
Today I carried the sign in the picture – shouted against the war as I walked past students – that “USA is on a killng spree.”
At a bus stop there was an extended speechift where I also talked about ICE and other ways the US is killing everybody.
I met a NJ BURN comrade – we are partnered with them on Friday’s protest, dropped some fliers off at the Islamic Center, met some cool Frat brothers who took a picture with the antiwar banner and I think I might have cut short a ROTC marching exercise by holding the sign up to the point they were marching – so they had to see it!
While I was taunting the ROTC group a couple was walking by and I said – how about that – antiwar protester just like back in the 60s’ They looked mad – but they held their tongue. The dude jutted his chin but he ended up moving on.
