Aug 20 New B, NJ Rally Against Police Killing of Deborah McCalla-Terrell: SAY HER NAME!

The following announcement of Thursday, August 20, 5pm New Brunswick Rally and March against New Brunswick police murder of Deborah McCalla-Terrell has been circulating on Facebook.

The New Brunswick Police Department just murdered Deborah McCalla-Terrell, a 68 year great grandmother because she needed help when she was having a mental health crisis. They maced, tased and then shot to death this elderly Black woman because this anti-Black police system in American is lazy, untrained and don’t care about preserving life of anyone who it not rich or white.

We will be joining Tormel Pittman and the rest of the the family of #DeborahTerrell at New Brunswick City Hall to seek justice on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 5:00pm.

The blood of Deborah Terrell is also in the hands of Governor Phil Murphy, Attorney General Matthew Platkin and the NJ legislature for passing the Seabrooks Washington bill that uses a non-police Community Crisis Response Team to respond to mental health crises but they did NOT fund it. How the hell do you pass a bill but give it no money. They are so unserious about the needs of Black people!
