Amanda Baumunk Condemns Violation of Free Speech Rights and Bribery Accusation at Montgomery Township Committee Meeting
This article was sent to the Montgomery Township Mayor and Committee with this comment: “Leadership from floor – ZERO leadership from mayor / committee – supporters of fascism with their silence.”
Montgomery Committee (Thu Apr 3) hears call by Amanda Baumunk, candidate for Democratic Party nomination to a position on the Township Committee, to take action to defend the free speech rights of Montgomery Township residents specifically highlighting the local repression of free speech with a false bribery accusation against this editor. She and her running partner Mazhar Syed are the only two persons in all of LD16 who have actually spoken out publicly against this attack on me. This statement is a good starting point for local action but it must move more toward a position that actually defends me from the attack. We need LD16 residents, candidates, officials, participants in the infamous Baguette event to speak up and DEMAND:
Dismiss the phony felony complaint of Assemblyman Roy Freiman and release the police report that is currently being reviewed at the NJ state level by the NJ Office of Attorney General. An article produced by Lily Benavides below offers some personal actions you can take immediately – e-mails and an OAG constituent entry form.
Appreciation to Amanda Baumunk and Mazhar Syed for breaking the eerie community silence on this issue – hopefully they can continue to articulate and call for specific relief – dismiss the accusation and release the police report immediately.
Hopefully others will join these two courageous yet for most part lonely LD16 voices.
