Michael Grele Testimony on NSPM7: Militarism Abroad Breeds Repression At Home

This <National Security Presidentntial Menorandum 7> didn’t come out of nowhere. That militarism abroad breeds repression at home.

And the people around the world who the US is attacking, whether it be the youth in Africa or, you know, the government in Venezuela or the people in Colombiaare scaring our government.

And the people here, you know, uh are not going to take austerity and war much longer.

People do not want war and they know this.

Hell no.

They they know that their policies are going to hurt people. And this is why we’re gearing up the fascist tactics um to prepare for the uprising that they predict is going to happen as a result.

You know, we know that virtually all political violence in the United States has always come from the right.

Yes, it has. And none of that is mentioned in the NSPM7.

This is, directly an attack on free speech and directly an attack on a certain, political group. Just want to say one last thing. This is an end run around their inability to use the armed forces to, uh, enforce laws when they deploy them out in the states. and they’re creating these new um you know conspiracy crimes um that they’re going to have their federal agencies enforce because they can’t get around the laws that prohibit them. that make them work with the states in order to do what they want to do to repress people.

Anyway, thank you very much. That’s all I have to say.
