‘D’ Magazine Pierces Dalfen’s Dallas Turf Media Market w/ Reports on Roxbury “Deathhouse” Sale

FightBackBetter recently reached out to the Dallas “Magazine D” to compliment the reporter and editor Bethany Erickson. She has been covering the threat of a sale of a warehouse to “death house” (this editor’s words) conversion near her Dallas news coverage turf in Hutchins, TX where the opposition successfully convinced the property owner not to sell to ICE. I also used the opportunity of my e-mail to Ms. Erickson to invite her interest in the issue of the property that Dallas local wealthy socialite Sean Dalfen was at the time in the process of selling to ICE – in this case the deal has now gone through.
As a result, Ms. Erickson has written this excellent expose that has introduced our struggle to stop Dalfen’s Death House (this editor’s words) to the Dallas media market.
Ms. Erickson credited this editor (and activist) with altering her to the situation:
D Magazine first learned of the potential sale and its Dallas connection when Bob Witanek, a New Jersey activist, emailed regarding Sean Dalfen, alleging that he “owns a similar warehouse property in Roxbury.”
Included in the letter that I sent to Ms. Erickson was the following article that highlighted several important pieces of information that Ms. Erickson also included in her report.
Those details include:
DALFEN SITS ON JEWISH FEDERATION OF GREATER DALLAS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The connection of Sean Delfan the Death House Dealer to the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas is one such detail. Sean Dalfen sits upon their board. He no doubt contributes to them financially. It is important to detail this reveal because with the fact suggests that the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas should probably sever ties with Sean Dalfen or explain how taking money form a Death House sale is consistent with their message.
This FightBackBetter editor has been joined by several other NJ residents and citizens in a public letter to the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas calling upon them to sever ties with Sean Dalfen over the Death House deal.
DALFEN PARTNERED WITH GOLDEN SACHS
Another point the D Magazine article made is the Golden Sachs (GS) connection. Dalfen is also connected to Blackstone in partnership with GS from whom they recently purchased 22 warehouses – is this part of an industrial warehouse to death house pipeline? Ms. Erickson provided us with details in her article about the actual sale and Goldman Sachs direct connection and co-ownership of the Death House.
According to this report, Goldman Sachs was the number 1 underwriter of financing of war bonds for Israel to finance the genocide in Gaza – floating $7 billion, 42% of the loan backing to Israel for that slaughterous purpose. Now they are joined with Sean “Deathhouse” Dalfen on a similar genovidal mission – this time in the domestic realm of the USA – in particular NJ.
While Ms. Erickson would have stumbled upon the Jewish Federation and GS connection in her own rights – the FightBackBetter article provided enough of an outline to motivate her expertise in getting behind the story.
DALFEN’S WIFE AN IMMIGRANT FROM MEXICO, D MAGAZINE REVEALS
One thing that Ms. Erickson unearthed that had not been in the news narrative on this deal is the fact that Sean Dalfen is married to an immigrant from Mexico who came to the United States when she was 16 tears old. How is that relevant? Well if the Death House is opened up for the harm business as intended by the Trump administration and ICE – many working class people and families of Mexican origin and origin of other Latin American nations will be harmed.
Dalfen’s willingness to reap millions in profits from harming anyone – including potentially kin of his own wife – or even her – as many citizens are being rounded up and some even being detained for months – makes the fact of his wife’s national origin relevant.
Whether or not his wife is ok with living in the lavishness of the gangster landlord life off the profits from the harm of her own national kin is not a given. While Latinos over all have a generally lower opinion of ICE than Caucasian white nationalist Christians, there are Latinos who are part of the ICE repression squads – both careerists and new hired temps – the financial draw is a reality.
But there is definitely a contradiction and definitely likely some internal marital conversations occurring in the Dalfen mansions. She could be perfectly fine with being rewarded the profits of repression, kidnapping and murder. Most Latin American nations have a ruling class and a working and oppressed class and the rulers are willing to benefit from the suffering of “their own people” just like in the United States.
One example is this Congress person in Colombia who has expressed deep support for Trump – opposition to Colombian president Petro but now that her 22-year-old son has been detained by ICE in NYC she appeals to Colombians president Petro for assistance in trying to get him out. Contradictions abound.
PENETRATION OF DALLAS MEDIA MARKET WITH NARRATIVE OF DALFEN’S DEATHHOUSE DEAL
The other important aspect of the development is that Ms. Erickson’s article is the first foray into the Dallas media market with reporting about Sean Dalfen’s involvement in the Death House deal. What this shows is that the gangsters profiting from human misery can not keep their worlds from colliding and we who oppose their oppression and in this case severe repression – including lethal repression – will dig and find the threats and pull at them – the profits might look rosey but consequences will never end for these death dealing merchant gangsters.
