Protest Booker’s Role in Gaza Genocide / Forced Starvation Thu Jul 31, Noon – 1pm, Newark NJ
For nearly two years, Senator Booker has refused to meet with any organizations that are supportive of Palestine. Clearly, his lack of support for Palestine has been influenced by his receiving $750,000 from AIPAC.
We want him to hear our voices crying out to Block the Bombs and push to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza now, as people are dropping dead from forced starvation on a daily basis and continuing to be bombed in their make shift tents!
– statement from community organizer from Cease Fire NJ, one of the primary community organizations sponsoring event.
Protest the forced starvation that has placed the entire population of Palestinians in Gaza at risk of death from malnourisment. The starvation has been forced by Israel with full support of President Trump as well as bipartisan support from both houses of congress. One of the most outspoken supporters for Israel – who always votes to fund and sell weapons to Israel, who always is funded with AIPAC support for his political campaigns, who NEVER speaks out about Gaza with all he has to say about Trump including during his 25 hour meaningless blabathon in the US Senate chambers, is NJ’s own Sen. Cory Booker. He met with Defense MInister Gallant who is under indictment by the International Criminal Court in his office when Gallant recently visited. He is one of a handful of democrat lawmakers who lined up for a photo-op with Netanyahu on his recent visit.
He has recently expressed concern after staying silent for almost 2 years about the genocide over the forced starvation which by all legal measures – is in part by his own hand and with his own complicit silence.
Help hold him accountable this Thursday noon at One Gateway Plaza (near Newark Penn Station( at Noon, Thursday, July 31 pm. Bring drums, pots and pans, strikers – your clapping hands and your stomping feet and your loud voices for justice!
