This proposal is to set up organized educational pickets outside local supermarkets wearing signs possibly using the graphic depicted above and possibly also with a brief statement calling for solidarity with the Kelloggs workers and boycotting of identified Kelloggs product.
Initially this is just a proposal and if there is no interest – no harm in raising the proposal.
If there is interest we can see where it goes and also reach out to the strike organizing committee to determine if this is or would be a preferred strategy.
Please provide links to be added to this posting as a holding area for such information.
There are also proposals for a mass mobilization to support the picketers at the Lancaster, Pennsylvania Kelloggs plant – please contact using buttons below to express interest in any of these ideas or to offer other suggestions.
On 12/13 I had a conversation with representatives of the Lancaster Pennsylvania office of the Bakery Confectionary Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers who are leading the picket struggle in Lancaster and there is possible interest in these proposals and I am looking forward to follow up conversations. Meanwhile you can donate to their strike fund at this link:
