Working to support Palestinian liberation from Israeli occupation through the non-violent BDS (Boycott Divest Sanctions) movement verges on “anti-Semitism” according to Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. President Joe Biden’s nominee for UN envoy.  During her confirmation hearings she vowed to combat the  “relentless resolutions that are proposed against Israel unfairly” and that she looked forward to standing with Israel, standing against the unfair targeting of Israel.”

She added that she hopes to help Israel develop a strategy for engaging with developing countries “that would appreciate having Israel’s expertise to support their own development efforts.”

Ignoring the fact that it was the US that backed out of the deal, she states ‘promised to work with both allies and adversaries at the UN in hopes of pressuring and pushing Iran back into compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal.

Thomas-Greenfield served as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Africa under Obama, from 2013 to 2017.  During this time US AFRICOM, the umbrella of US military operations in Africa,  greatly stepped up its operations, now maintaining military relations and operations in 53 African nations.
